The house is finally packed which meant I could pack my bag last night. I must admit that despite wanting a small bag for the walk, I was having a lot of difficulty fitting everything inside the bag. This caused me to have a total freak-out – I was on the floor laughing and crying hysterically like a maniac. Am I proud of it? No. Will I do it again? Probably.
It look a lot of calming down and my lovely boyfriend finished off the packing for me, I will re-pack my bag later on this week with some calming music playing – I’m thinking something along the links of Enya, or better yet, Air.
I’m only taking the essentials and packing extremely light, which is a new sensation for me as I’m a habitual over-packer. My check-list is below:
- 3 x T-shirts
- 1 x Long sleeve top
- 1 x Long pants
- 1 x shorts
- 5 x socks
- 7 x knickers
- 1 x jacket
- 1 x tiniest sleeping bag in the history of time (in my hands below)
- Toiletries
- Medicines
- Accessories – head torch, clothes line etc

My backpack is amazing and if you’re wanting to go somewhere that really looks after you, I suggest going to Backpacking Light (29 Somerset Pl, Melbourne VIC 3000). They really know their stuff and the staff are brilliant!
We depart Melbourne to Sydney on Saturday and then we fly from Sydney to Paris (!!YES!!) on the 27th of March. With the stress of packing the house, I think finally arriving at the airport will be such a massive relief.
Thursday marks my 29th birthday and I will be celebrating it with my friends on my last day of work which is really exciting! I’ll miss them all terribly.
Over and out,
– Miss Adventure
