Whoopsy Daisy

I LEFT MY BLOODY JACKET AT THE BLOODY HOTEL.

Cheeky champers before the flight

This week I stayed at the Travelodge Docklands, after putting all of my worldly possessions into boxes. The one article of clothing I wanted to hang in the cupboard was my super cool jacket, specifically purchased for the Camino.

“Maybe you should take it out of the cupboard so you don’t forget it”, says my boyfriend on multiple occassions.

“I WON’T FORGET IT”, I reply stubbornly.

By 2:30pm on Saturday at Melbourne Airport I remembered that I left my bloody jacket in that bloody cupboard, despite the warnings. As we were set to start boarding our flight to Sydney at 3:30pm, I thought it was a lost cause and I was terribly disappointed with myself. Luckily my boyfriend’s a smarty pants, because he organised and Uber driver to pick up my jacket from Travelodge and drive it to Melbourne Airport. Mr Uberman made it, with 10 minutes to spare, even through the language barrier.

The relief was real.

This morning when we checked in, we were upgraded to Business Class. I must say, it’s going to be mighty difficult to travel in Economy again. I’m usually a pretty crappy flyer, thanks to motion sickness and pressure headaches, but the flight from Sydney to Singapore has to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The seats were so comfy and folded out into lay-down beds and the food.

THE FOOD! (photos to come in next post)

Holy guacamole was I in food heaven. Three courses. THREE COURSES! My favourite bit was dessert (of course). I had the sesame icecream and an amazing array of cheeses.

I watched Star Wars Episode VII : The Force Awakens and Crimson Peak.

Fully reclined, baby!!

I feel extremely lucky to have had this experience.

Until next time,
